About Candyreef
Candyreef is a freelance Illustration and design service run by Megan Davidson, based on the south coast of England.
Megan spent her childhood by the seaside on sunny Hayling Island and enjoyed fun filled caravanning holidays with her family in Cornwall almost every year. Candyreef’s style is inspired by these warm memories and by today’s youth and subculture, fashion trends, and nature - particularly the seaside. Megan feels at home by the sea and now spends most of her time in Brighton, the perfect place for an artist to be inspired.
Megan studied Fine Art for three years at college before moving to Bristol to study a BA Hons degree in Fashion Design, specialising in Illustration and has also completed Entrepreneurship training for creatives in Illustration at the UCCA, Surrey.
Candyreef has developed through combining traditional hand skills with vectors and digital media; Megan has spent three years teaching herself Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software, perfecting her style to produce exciting fashion Illustrations at a professional standard.
Two of Megan’s images have been published in the ‘Big Book of Fashion Illustration’ By Martin Dawber, and Anova books, on sale now!
